A piece of metal usually goes through a cleaning and drying process. After the metal part is cleaned, the powder is sprayed with a spray gun to give the entire metal part the desired finish. After coating, the metal part goes into a curing oven, which cures the powder coating onto the metal part.

We do not outsource any stage of the powder coating process, we have our own in-house powder coating process line which allows us to produce high quality painted finishes for prototypes and high volume jobs with fast turnaround and complete control.

Why use powder coating over wet paint?

Powder coating poses no risk to air quality because, unlike paint, it has no solvent emissions. It also provides unparalleled quality control by providing greater thickness uniformity and color consistency than wet paint. Because powder-coated metal parts are cured at higher temperatures, a tougher finish is ensured. Powder coatings are generally much less expensive than wet-based paint systems.
